The Bank1) tries to present itself as an upper class establishment, but it's a losing game when the tokens they handle explode violently and completely randomly. Armed with a bucket, a frown, and a neverending supply of festive smut, the clerk will keep your hard-earned requisition safe from thieving squats and also from catching fire.
There's no tax for looking like an idiot on TV, so Requisition stored in the bank will remain in the bank if you're ever knocked out. There is a tax for showing off, though, so should you succeed in defeating the Improbability Drive you'll lose it all. Your banked req will also generate a bit of interest each day.2)
Expanded Banking Services
If you're the sort of respectable citizen who enjoys a good hard bank, slip the clerk a couple of cigarettes. She won't let you read over her shoulder but she will give you other material to bank with.
- Quick Banking (Five Cigarettes): For people who don't appreciate eye contact when banking, this will install a special Banking Bucket in the lobby of the building. Chuck all your requisition in there and take it out without ever needing to say a word.
- Public Banking (Ten Cigarettes): Adds the special Banking Bucket to every outpost, allowing you to fling requisition in and out of storage with no regards for things like “privacy” and “deposit limits”. Sure, everyone will know how much you're worth, but what are they gonna do about it? Go through your pockets in the Jungle?
- Assisted Banking (Twenty Cigarettes): Too busy to bank? Hire a team of experts! Bank staff will periodically show up after Jungle fights to escort your hard-earned req to safety.
