This is an old revision of the document!

'Baccy Bandit' is a unique pub game found in the Prancing SpiderKitty in Improbable Central. In-game text indicates it is the invention of Dan the bartender himself.

Baccy Bandit is unique because it allows the player to gamble not with Req but with cigarettes.

Baccy Bandit is basically a slot machine. There are Reels that spin, and all the symbols are replaced with words relevant to Improbable Island (e.g., Watcher, KittyBike). There are a total of four Reels, though by default only the first three are 'Active'.

Standard Spins, the default, cost one cigarette each. Super Spins, which makes the fourth Reel now active, cost two cigarettes each.

Super Spins allow for a much higher payout from getting four in a row instead of just three in a row. This is made slightly more likely by the fact that Diseased Lung (only when it's in the fourth Reel) counts as a wildcard.

The payout table always appears below the slot machine interface and results.

A screen capture of the payout table appears below:

Baccy Bandit has some key differences from real-life slot machines.

1. There is anecdotal evidence that current Millihawton readings (that is, how we measure Improbability on the Island) can impact the results of a Baccy Bandit spin. This isn't confirmed, but if true, it would likely mean that very 'Improbable' spins would actually become more common as the Millhawton reading increases into the red.

2. There is anecdotal evidence it is possible to play Baccy Bandit somewhat strategically. This is mostly due to the fact it will occasionally give you the option to 'nudge' or 'hold' Reels.

Nudging a Reel causing it to move one 'click' down; Holding a Reel means it will stay in the same position on your next spin.

In order to best take advantage of this feature, it helps to know which symbol is where on each Reel.
