The Bank1) tries to present itself as an upper class establishment, but it's a losing game when the tokens they handle explode violently and completely randomly. Armed with a bucket, a frown, and a neverending supply of festive smut, the clerk will keep your hard-earned requisition safe from thieving squats and also from catching fire.

There's no tax for looking like an idiot on TV, so Requisition stored in the bank will remain in the bank if you're ever knocked out. There is a tax for showing off, though, so should you succeed in defeating the Improbability Drive you'll lose it all. Your banked req will also generate a bit of interest each day.2)

If you're the sort of respectable citizen who enjoys a good hard bank, slip the clerk a couple of cigarettes. She won't let you read over her shoulder but she will give you other material to bank with.

While there's no cap on how filthy rich you can be, the bank will stop paying interest once your account hits 100,000 total requisition.
