**Description:** Tied up at the end of a long dock,((the [[places:player:disappearing_dock|Disappearing Dock]] which actually begins on the map square immediately north of this one)) at first sight this dilapidated houseboat looks abandoned, with vines and Spanish moss growing on it. Its name, painted on the stern, is //Illegible//. 

**Backstory:** [[characters:player:Gamina]] found this place while trekking in the swamp. It looked long abandoned, so she cleaned it up a bit, promising herself that if the owners ever showed up she would turn it over to them. Then one day, much to her surprise, she ran into [[characters:player:john_even_keel|John Keel]], a writer she had admired in her previous life on the Mainland. She turned the houseboat over to him to use as a quiet writer's retreat.
